    3. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, March 12, 1932 William C. Meador, was born Nov. 17, 1843 and died May 7, 1932, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. C. Wyss of Enon. Mr. Meador came to Missouri with his parents when he was nine years old and grew to manhood on a farm near Russellville. He united with the Cole Spring Baptist Church at the age of eighteen and later transferred his membership to Rock Enon Church where he lived a faithful willing worker in the organization and attended church services whenever possible. Mr. Meador was married to Mary R. Amos Feb. 23, 1865. She preceded him in death March 14, 1875. To this union were born Rosa C. Meador who died July 20, 1887, Mrs. Anna E. Wyss, who survives and one son who died in infancy. April 17, 1879, Mr. Meador was again married to Mrs. Eliza Massey, who died April 8, 1929. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nancy Amos of Russellville, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Wyss of Enon, one foster daughter, Mrs. Gail Weaver of Enon, two grandchildren, Mrs. Henry Wirth of Kansas City, Mo., and Clarence Shadwick at the Wyss home where Mr. Meador has been living since Mrs. Meador died three years ago. There are four great-grandchildren. The five flower girls for the funeral were Lois Dean and Helen Mae Wirth, Wilma Jean Wyss, Frances Kathern Wyss, and Carmen Brooks Weaver. The pallbearers were Henry Wirth, J. Fred Wyss, Martin Wyss, Luther Cook, Charles Thompson, and Gail Weaver. Funeral services were held Monday, May 8, at 10:30 at the Rock Enon Baptist Church by Rev. R. L. Hood. Interment was made in the Enloe Cemetery.
