    3. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, March 12, 1932 Mrs. D.C. Buckman, 49, one of the best known and best-loved of Eldon women, died early Monday morning in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, where she ahd been receiving treatment for about a month, undergoing two major operations. She had been in ill health for about two years. Her daughter, Mrs. Olin Moore, has been employed for several years on the staff of the Eldon Advertiser. Besides her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rice G. Maupin of Shelbina, Mo.; four brothers, Byron Maupin of San Diego, Calif., Paul Maupin of Shelbina, Temple Maupin of Nacadoshia, Texas, and Bob Maupin of Shelbina; and three sisters, Mrs. A.R. Lundin of Orion, Ill.; Mrs. D.R. Whitmore of Webster Groves, and Miss Rice Maupin of Shelbina. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. Noyes O. Bartholomew, pastor of the Congregational Church of Eldon. Both were buried in the Eldon Cemetery. Elizabeth Woods Maupin was born near Shelbina, May 17, 1882 and united with the Methodist Church of Shelbina in her youth. She was married to Delbert C. Buckman, Sept. 23, 1903. Mr. and Mrs. Buckman moved to Eldon in 1912, Mr. Buckman being employed on the Rock Island during his entire twenty years of residence.
