    3. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, March 12, 1932 Mrs. Annie Louise Hurley, wife of A.J. Blakeman, died Monday morning, April 24, 1932, at the family home on Oak Street in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Blakeman were pioneer New England stock and came from Connecticut to the Middle-West fifty years ago, establishing their first home in Eldon, Mo. Two daughters were born there, Mrs. Mae Blakeman Kiely and Miss Della. For nineteen years the Blakemans were identified with religious and civic life of Eldon; loved and honored for their sterling qualities and deep interest in the welfare of their adopted home. In 1901 the family moved to California which has been their home ever since, where they have always stood for what is most worth while in the community. Surviving are her husband; two daughters; one grandchild, Mary Elizabeth Kiely, and two sisters, Mrs. Bebe McNamara, Waterbury, Conn., and Mrs. Elizabeth Richardson, New York City.
