Obituary: The New Iberian, Wednesday, October 13, 1982 Norman E. Duncan, 57, Iberia, died unexpectedly Friday October 8, 1982, of an apparent heart attack. He was born February 23, 1925, a son of Oliver and Ollie Luttrell Duncan. He was married October 8, 1977, to Mae Morrow who survives at the home. Mr. Duncan, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a farmer. He was a member of the VFW in Iberia. He was a member of the Mt. Union Church of Christ. Other survivors include: four sons, Doug Duncan and David Duncan, Iberia, Donald Duncan, Brumley, and Jeffrey Duncan, Ulman; four daughters, Mrs. Susan Witt, Ulman, Mrs. Ann Carroll, Waynesville, Mrs. Rita Hurt, Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Claudette Bond, Iberia; a stepson, James Sherrell, Stoutland; four step-daughters, Mrs. Billie Ash, Brumley, Mrs. Bobbie Smith, Holts Summit, Mrs. Janet Plemmons, Iberia, and Bessie Sherrell, Eldon; two brothers, Clyde Duncan, Eldon, and John Duncan, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Zella Bohrn, Eldon, and Mrs. Maxine Brown, Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 11, 1982 at the Mt. Union Church of Christ. Burial was at the Mt. Union Cemetery with a military graveside service. Arrangements were under Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia.
