Obituary: The New Iberian, August 24, 1978 Mrs. Doris A. (Soper) Lupardus, 67, of Ulman died Wednesday at her home following a long illness. A native of the state of Connecticut, Mrs. Lupardus was born March 21, 1911, a daughter of Alan and Alice Soper. On Oct. 7, 1957, she was married at Elkton, Md. To James L. Lupardus who survives. Mrs. Lupardus was a resident of the Iberia area since 1962 and she was a member of the Iberia Christian Church. Other survivors include several nieces and a nephew. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ulman Christian Church with Brother Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia. Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia was in charge of the arrangements.
