    3. Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, March 12, 1932 John T. Dresser, formerly of Miller County, died at his home in Chicago, Saturday, April 21. He was born near Mount Pleasant, Mo., April 14, 1869. He spent his boyhood days in this county and later entered the service of the Postal Telegraph Company by which he was employed for nearly thirty-one years. Twenty-eight years of this time was spent in Chicago where he held a responsible position in charge of the dynamo plant there. Through the years he gained the esteem of many fellow employees and officers of the company who paid respect as they thronged to the home and sent beautiful floral pieces as tribute. One of the officials said, "John was loved by everyone at the Postal Plant." He was a good husband, a good father, and a friendly neighbor. Mr. Dresser is survived by his wife, one son, and three daughters.
