There is on headline or title sorry. ..... Three of the Honored Guests At This Event Were Sq. John Ferguson, 99, and Mrs. Katherine Boren, 97, Both of Iberia, and MR. Jeff Wall, 85, of Weaubleau, Mo. Big Dinner Served at Noon Hour. (hand written.. 1940) A host of relatives, and friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mrs. Emma Condra and her sons, Elbert and Homer, southwest of town, Sunday, in a happy and enjoyable neighborhood reunion. The large group was made up of both local people and a goodly number from a distance. Included in the group were three of our oldest and time honored residents, Sq. John Ferguson, 99 years of age, and Mrs. Katherine Boren, 97, both of Iberia, and Jeff Wall, 85, of Weaubleau, Mo. The occasion was honored by their presence. Seldom ever in a neighborhood reunion of this nature does it occur that such aged old-time friends are able to meet each other and recall reminences of by gone days. One of the important and most enjoyable features of an occasion like this is the bountiful dinner, prepared and served by the women folks. This Sunday event was no exception to the case, because everyone present was well served a bountiful supply of good eats, such as is the custom of the ladies of this Ozark section to provide. What section of the paper is the article in?

It was a good article. I remember Curry Church without the additions, does anyone have a picture of it? We went there most every Decoration Day all my life. However, not just the church and cemetery are left, the Curry School is still standing over on the hill east and south of the church on private property. I thought the Faith store was still there too, modified into a home. Not a criticism of the aritcle because my own knowledge about the school and store is pretty recent, as well as finding the Deen Cemetery. My ggrandfather Zeb Martin and my grandparents, Matt and Millie Lawson Martin are buried in the Curry Cemetery as well as some other relatives. The Deen Cemetery is less than a mile south of Curry, where my ggrandmother, Zeb's first wife, Mahala Deen Martin is buried. Also, Mahala's parents, WC and Mary Ann Miers Deen, as well as others. I hope this was of interest to a few of you.
