Fits in mine too. Back in the 60's Walter was tending a fire near the old blacksmith shop in St. Elizabeth on the block north east of the church, I suppose he owned the building. My recollection is there were some aerosol cans mixed in with the trash he was burning and one exploded and injured him. Seems like there was diabetes involved, but I was only a grade schooler at the time. Anyway he had to have a leg (maybe both?) amputated. His son Bob faithfully pushed him to church in the wheelchair for those many years, back before the church had a wheelchair ramp. Bob remains one of the community's most respected citizens, just down to earth good man with rock solid principles.
