Nancy, There is a Pelikan family living in the Spring Creek area of Maries County. The older one is Joseph Pelikan (b. Bohemia), m/ Martha Love. Their children were born ca 1860s/1870s. Spring Creek Twp is just above Rolla in Maries County. She may be a part of their family. She doesn't appear on the list of children I have for them, but I don't have the grandchildren. Joseph & Martha only had one son I know of, Thomas. They had 6 daughters. Perhaps she is a child of Thomas'. James I Edwards was born about 1916. His mother was Mary Francis (Fannie) Barnhart and his father George Tony Edwards. There is one photo of a brother, Herbert Calvin Edwards and it says he was born January 1926-10 years younger than James. Does anyone know more about James' family. There are many Barnhart photos, identified by last name only. Does anyone have information on the family of Mary Francis Barnhart Edwards? There is a photo of Miss Sarah Pelikan of Rolla, Mo taken at age 14. Does anyone have anything on this family? There is a baby photo identified as Kate (maiden name Bade), James' grandmother.
