Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, November 1988 Pauline Alpers, 72, of Eldon died Sunday, Nov. 13, 1988 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles. She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Boonville to Thomas and Alice Wendelton Crosswhite. On July 27, 1941, she was married in Boonville to Victor Alpers, who survives in Eldon. Mrs. Alpers had been an Eldon resident since 1948 when she moved here from Sweet Springs. She was a graduate of Boonville High School and had been a member of the Eldon First Christian Church since 1948. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Bonnie Fulks of Sikeston and Mary Jane Martin of Eldon and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald E. Crooks officiating. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Park in Barnett.
