Mary Hauenstein Nichols Mrs. Mary Nichols Dead Was Born in Germany Sixty-three Years Ago Mary Nichols passed away to her reward Sunday night (24 Aug. 1913) at nine o'clock and twenty-five minutes after a lingering illness of six months with cancer of the stomach. She was born in Germany June 24, 1850 and came to this country when a young girl with her uncle William Hauenstein, Sr. About thirty eight years ago, she was married to Theodore Nichols who preceded her to the grave twenty five years ago. The deceased was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church. Deceased leaves two sons, George T. and William F. Nichols an a brother, Louis Hauenstein of Cincinnatti, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Gutherie at the residence after which her remains were laid to rest by the side of her husband.
