Obituary: Unknown Publication, 1901 Near Spring Garden, Mo., on Feb. 22, 1901, the spirit of our beloved sister, Joanna Belshe, wife of S.W. Belshe, and daughter of Elder J.H.D. Thompson of Richmond, Mo., passed to her heavenly home. When only ten years of age she united with the Christian Church, under the preaching of Bro. Headington (?), and since then had lived a faithful, consistent Christian life, ever ready to do what she could for her Master and her church. As long as she was able to be there she was always in her place at church services, and among the singers there was none whose voice sang sweeter, praised to God than hers. She had been a sufferer for more than a year with consumption, but had borne all her sufferings patiently. For nearly three months her father and mother had been at her bedside and with others did all that could be done to alleviate her suffering. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and two little girls, a father, mother and two brothers. May they all meet her in her heavenly home. Her funeral was preached on Feb. 24 by Elder J.J. Wyrick and the large attendance attested the love and esteem in which she was held.
