The family consisted of William 40 farmer; Isabella 32 housekeeper; John 15 labourer; Elizabeth 12 and Martha 3. Place of origin was Great Britain. The 1841 census for Scotland shows William Ferguson 25 cotton handloom weaver; Isabella 22; John 5 months living at Warren Hill, Torthorwald, Dumfries. I haven't been able to find them at 1851 census in Scotland or England.
