Mathias Meredith tombstones picture is on findagrave.com and his dates show 25 Apr 1820 - 10 Aug 1906 So he should be somewhere on a 1900 census, maybe living with a child.
From the census, it is apparent that both Mathias Meredith and Daniel Mathias Meredith married women named Mary J. I think that somewhere along the line, someone put the date of July 23, 1863 in for both marriages. I can only find one in Missouri and that was of Mathias and Mary J. Thornsbery in Miller County Missouri. Corky At 09:04 PM 10/24/2009, you wrote: >So It would appear that Mathias DID remarry after Serilda Wiseman Meredith >died in 1863. So It would appear that Mathias DID remarry after Serilda Wiseman Meredith died in 1863. There is a marriage on the MCHS marriage list for Mathias Meredith and Mary J. Thornsberry on 23 Jul 1863. Mathias Meredith (1820-1906) m. Serilda Wiseman who died in Mar 1863. They had a son, Daniel Mathias Meredith (b. 1844) who married Mary Jane ? 23 Jul 1863. Was she Pemberton or Thornsberry? Did Mathias (1820-1906) re-marry? I know he and Serilda are buried in Glover Chapel Cemetery, but can't find them in any census. Is there another way to spell Meredith? They were married in Miller County and all their children were born in Missouri. Why can't I find them? Nancy T

In 1910, the family is in Craig, OKLAHOMA, with Sarah gone and Charles as a year old baby. Also living with Ed Vaughan is father in law, James K. McComb. The problem with Clarence in 1920 is that he is a single man. No sign of a wife. census error or wrong Clarence. Sarah must have died ca 1909 or after Charles was born. Malinda
I have a Walter Clarence Vaughan, son of Edward and Sarah C. McComb Vaughan, that died in Indiana. Must be same guy. Edward also died in Indiana.
Edward is in Jasper County, Indiana in 1920 but it would appear Sarah has died by then. Children in the household are Elmer 28, Clarence 26, James 17, Emma 11 (?), Ernest 12 and Charles 10.
