She was born June 10, 1919, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Bernard and Barbara Weidinger Kirkweg. She was married Feb. 20, 1946, to Steve C. Kemna, who died Sept. 29, 1966. She was married Dec. 3, 1970, in Jefferson City, to Theodore L. Kern, who died July 24, 1984. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Meta, and the Blue Army. Survivors include: one daughter, Fredonna Kemna, Wardsville; one stepson, Ted Quick, Holts Summit; one step daughter, Shirley Libbert, Hillsboro; one brother, Lawrence Kirkweg, St. Elizabeth; one half brother, Al Bax, Meta; one half sister, Cecilia Rehagen, Westphalia; and three step-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schutty will officiate. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery. She was born May 5, 1915 at St. Thomas, the daughter of the late John and Mary Suthoff Kroll. She was married Nov. 27, 1945 at St. Thomas to Frank B. Kirkweg, who survives. She was a member of Out Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home. She had first made her home at St. Thomas, where she attended parochial schools. She had been employee at the Ramada Inn until illness forced her retirement in 1968. Survivors include: Two daughters, Mrs. Rose Evers of Eugene and Miss Viola Kirkweg of the home; one grandson. Two sons preceded her in death - Bobby, soon after birth and Emil at age of three years; also two brothers, Ted and Bernard Kroll and two sisters, Anna and Christine. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Our Lady of Snows Church. Burial was a the Our Lady of the Snows Church cemetery at Mary's Home."
Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, February 1974: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at Our Lady of Snows Catholic church, Mary's Home, for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Koetting, 83, Rte. 1, Eugene. Mrs. Koetting died Monday, February 4, 1974 at Charles E. Still Hospital, Jefferson City. She was born to Anton and Margaret Wilbers Lepper at Mary's Home Sept. 11, 1890. She was married Oct. 14, 1913 at Mary's Home to August H. Koetting, who died Feb. 14, 1967. Mrs. Koetting lived in Mary's Home all of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality at the church. Surviving her are a son, Alvin Koetting, Mary's Home; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Evers, Mary's Home; three sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Buchta, Jefferson City, and Mrs. Anna Berendzen and Mrs. Maggie Hamacher, both of Eugene; and 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The rosary was prayed for Mrs. Koetting Wednesday at the Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial was in the parish cemetery with the Rev. Henry Reichart officiating under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Grandsons were pall bearers.

Mary Gardner Spearman died 19 April 1871 after childbirth. children: Isaiah Allen Gardner b. Feb 1830 William Pauling Gardner b. abt 1832 Dorrinda b. abt 1834 married Robert Blevins Mary E. b. abt 1837 married Zebedee Spearman Lavinia b. abt 1839 married James J. Dickerson Joel b. abt 1843 Jacob Gardner was the son of William Gardner of Barren County, KY and the brother of Henry P. Gardner of Miller county, MO. Jacob died some time between 1844-1852. probably in Barren County, KY. The children listed above came to Miller county, MO.

I don't know if this proves anything Alice, but there was a Cora Thompson on the 1880 census, 6 yrs of age, and listed as dau. of James and Victoria? They were living in Brumley. Never mind, I answered my own question. Pulled up Willard Spearman's death certificate. His parents were Zebedee Spearman and Mary Gardner. Pulled up Cora H. Spearman's death certificate and her parents were James Thompson and Victoria Singleterry. Alice
I have a problem. I have the marriage for Willard Spearman to Cora Thompson 02 March 1893 in Miller County. Their granddaughter says that her name wasn't Thompson, but that it was Singleterry. Help, Alice

Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1977: " Dennis Lane Koenigsfeld, 14, Frankenstein, died Tuesday afternoon, April 26, 1977, after suffering injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at Frankenstein. He was born April 17, 1963 at Jefferson City, the son of Bob H. and LaVerne Kempker Koenigsfeld. Both parents survive, as does his step-mother, Mrs. Sherri Koenigsfeld. He was an eighth grade student at St. Mary's School, Frankenstein. Other survivors include: two brothers, David L. Koenigsfeld and Douglas Koenigsfeld, both of the home; two step-brothers, Kenneth Koenigsfeld of the home; and David Wayne Cooper, Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Miss Lisa Ann Koenigsfeld, Mary's Home; one half-sister, Miss Robyn Kay Koenigsfeld of the home; one step-sister, Miss Jodi Ann Koenigsfeld of the home.
