    1. [MOMILLER] Teresa (FALTER) MEYER REHAGEN
    2. Chris Hough
    3. Vienna Home Advisor, 9 February 1911 Mrs. Teresa Rehagen Dead Mrs. Teresa Rehagen died of old age January 29th at the home of her son Frank Rehagen, at Westphalia, Osage county, Mo. Deceased was born October 6th, 1833, in Bueren, Westphalia, Germany. Her maiden name was Falter. In 1846 she came with the Falter family to this country where they lived till 1849 when the family seat was removed to Osage county. Miss Falter married F. A. Meyer in 1851. The Meyers soon moved from Westphalia to Stoney Point. To this union two children, Ferdinand and Elizabeth were born. They have preceded their mother in death. After only a few years death also terminated this married life. On November 25, 1856, Mrs. Meyer was united, again, inarriage, this time with Conrad Rehagen whose death occured May 15th 1910. The Rehagens had ten children but seven of which survive their mother; they are: Mrs. Stephen (Anna) Oligschlaeger, Mrs. Alex (Teresa) Young and Fred Rehagen, of Kansas City; John Rehagen, of St. Louis; Mrs. Hy. B. (Wilhelmine) Bode, of Taos; Mrs. Christ. (Clara) Schneider and Frank Rehagen, of Westphalia. Besides her children, Mrs. Rehagen leaves two brothers Messrs Fritz Falter, of Freeburg, and Clement Falter of Stonewall, Okla. The funeral obsequies took place at Westphalia January 30th at 9:30 a.m., and an extraordinary number of friends took part in the last rites. Deceased was well known and much liked and respected for her high qualities of character. We extend the bereaved our genuine sympathy. ____________________________________________________________________________________ TV dinner still cooling? Check out "Tonight's Picks" on Yahoo! Surnames: Phillips Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.miller/3382/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Does anyone have any information on Thomas S. Phillips in the Richwood township census 1870 and 1880? In 1870 he is listed as a minister of the gospel. I can't read what his wife, Sarah's occupation is. Can anyone help me? Does anyone know which congregation he pastored? In 1880 he is listed as a farmer. I suspect that he may be the brother of John A. Phillips also living in Dyer county during those years. A T.S. Phillips officiated the marriage of his daughter Catherine to Peter J. Carlton. Brenda Phillips Aigner

    3. Mary, You probably agree getting current obituaries is much easier now with the internet. Did you see Rekus Funeral Homes has a web page and they will send you an email whenever a new obituary is posted. I've been keeping a file with all the recent obituaries that are of interest, which is pretty much all the German surnames that I recognize. Unfortunately I lost a hard drive jut before New Year's and my backup of that file was corrupt. If you have many of these recent obituaries, I would be interested. Most of know how to drive on icy roads too. Coldest here was in like 1997 or 1998, it was down to 30 something below. Places in Minnesota were right at 40 below.
