Obituary: Jefferson City Post-Tribune, September 2000 Services were today for Bernice Alexander Carlson, 95, Pinehurst, N.C., formerly of Eldon, who died Sept. 19, 2000, in Carthage, N.C. She was born Jun3 28, 1905, in Ulman, a daughter of Clyde and Mary Bain Bass. She was married to John Alexander, who died Jan. 22, 1981. She was married to Ray Carlson, who died Oct. 4, 1991. A homemaker, she was a member of First Christian Church, Eldon. She was a member of the Community Bible Study in North Carolina. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Kansas City, Kan., for 45 years. Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Wolf, Pinehurst, and Jennifer Shirley Lyons, Harrison, Maine; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were in Eldon City Cemetery. The Rev. Walter D. Simpson officiated.

He was born May 10, 1940, in Eugene, a son of Lloyd and Wilma Shackleford Bittle. He was married Feb. 23, 1964 in California to Mary Judith Cram, who survives at the home. He was a former police officer and chief of police in Eldon in the 1970s until he moved. He was a police officer until 1976 and also worked for the Osage Beach Police Department. He moved to Venice from Rocky Mount in 1984. Other survivors include one daughter, Valerie Richter, Venice, and two sisters, Carol Hale, Henley, and Patricia Mulholland, Eugene. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Cellis Crum will officiate. Memorialas are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with the Rev. Jeff Higbie officiating. Burial was in Tol Wood Cemetery near Eldon.
Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Tuesday, July 4, 2000 Franklin "Frank" D. Clark, 67, of Brumley died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Greenville to Lee and Ollie Bollinger Clark. On Nov. 1, 1969, he was married in St. Louis County to Anita Holt, who survives at the home. Mr. Clark owned and operated Phase 5 Barber Shop in Osage Beach for 14 years. He was a member of the Mt. Union Church of Christ in Brumley. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion in Jefferson City and the Dam Car Club of Osage Beach. Also surviving him are a son, Kevin Clark of St. Charles; twin daughters, Lynn Campbell of Cape Girardeau and Gwyn Hayden of St. Charles; two step-daughters, Pat McCoy of Dittmer and Paula Duncan of Lake Ozark; two sisters, Retha Ward of Poplar Bluff and Shelby Gann of DeSoto; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 12 at Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Beach with the Rev. Mike Duncan and the Rev. Roy Westbrook officiating. Intombment was in Lake Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Osage Beach.

Also surviving her are two sons, Larry Farris of Russellville and Johnny Farris of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Ethelyn Garrison of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; three sisters, Treva Platter of Jefferson City, Selma Barker of Eldon and Eula Rose Wickham of Tollhouse, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Russellville Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Thomas, the Rev. C.D. Butler and the Rev. Thomas Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville, with the Rev. Randy Trumbo officiating. The names are all common to Miller County Jefferson City News Tribune, Wednesday, February 7, 2007 Dorothy Livingston Dorothy Livingston, 81, of Holts Summit, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at St. Johns Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was barn January 21, 1926, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of the late William L. and Maude (Johnson) Atwell. She was married on June 3, 1944, to Louis A. Livingston who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1991. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She attended and graduated from Reed High School in Springfield, MO. Dorothy retired from Unity Village in Lees Summit; Mo. In 1991, she moved to Holts Summit and worked far Dr. Kenneth E. Schafermeyer until 1996. Dorothy also volunteered in the Samaritan Center Dental Clinic. Mrs. Livingston is survived by one son, William L. Livingston and wife Marilyn of Ocala, Fla.; one daughter, Carolyn S. Maxey and husband Myron of Halts Summit, Mo..; four grandchildren, Paula Carter, Dan Livingston, Sarah Hyman and Darren Maxey; 12 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Wilma Williams of Lees Summit, Mo., and Juanita Mace of Rolla, MO. Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wilson and Helen Atwell. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, Mo. with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 E.
