He was married April 27, 1963, in Marys Home, to Ann Mary Kempker, who died June 6, 1998. He was married July 3, 1999, in Jefferson City, to Karen Hart Kempker, who survives at the home. A 1957 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School, he was a retired union carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Knights of Columbus and Carpenters Local 945. I believe it was called Cookville. It is gone now. The buildings were torn down around 1940 when the town was sold to the government.
