    3. Cemetery records on MoMiller web site show on both James and Elizabeth Hickman are buried at Gott which is near Ulman. As far as I know, there is no "Ulman Cemetery". James' death date is listed there as 1909 rather than 1908. This could be a typo on the web site, however. 3. Well, I'm bringing out the family's dirty linen here ... and I do not have a whole lot of information ... but in talking to some of my cousins years ago, I put the following information in my genealogy database as a note for my Gr. Uncle Granville McKee: "Uncle Granville had an illegitimate son - Loren. Loren's mother was a Humphrey. Story has it that Uncle Granville and Loren's mother were very much in love ... but her family didn't approve of Uncle Granville. When they went to them and asked for their approval to marry, the family said no. I don't know if she was already pregnant or not. Loren didn't know Uncle Granville was his father until he retired and applied for his pension. He had to get a copy of his birth certificate - and the name on it was Loren McKee. That was the first he knew of it. I'm told that Aunt Laura nor any of her & Uncle Granville's kids would ever acknowledge it, let alone want to hear anything at all about it." I don't know if we're talking about the same Loren Humphrey or not ... and no where did I write down Loren's mother's name. In fact, if my memory is correct, the person who told me did not mention it - only to say that Uncle Granville loved a Humphrey girl. Don't know for a fact, even, that he went by Loren Humphrey - although I think he might have. Again, I don't know if we're talking the same person or not ... but I think we could be. 3. That's one of the questions I have been asking 'everyone' for the last year.  No one seems to know.  I think it may have been the Graves Hill Cemetery, where many of Hugh Snelling family/extended family were buried.  Maybe at one time the locals called it Snelling Cemetery????  Her son in law was the informant.....you'd think he would know where they were burying her. Graves Hill Cemetery was one of those moved because of the 'Lake of the Ozarks' project. Unfortunately, many of the graves were listed as 'unmarked'.......but since so many of this Snelling family group were still living in Miller/Camden county during the move its hard to think that they did not make sure the graves were named. So many questions, I just keep searching . Anyone have a lead on this? 2. Nancy & Jerry Thompson
    3. Elizabeth's death certificate lists her father as William Hale. I had her father listed as James L. Hale. He is listed in the 1860 census as J.L. Hale. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 9:00 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MOMILLER] 1946 - Any Hospitals in Ulman, MO Any hospitals in Ulman Mo in 1946? 1. [MOMILLER] Susan Henderson Lee Carters dates
    2. I checked the Pension records and the dates are correct that I had posted, I tried to email the actual record but Rootsweb would not let it go thru. I did manage to send it to Donna. I do believe that Susan was mistaken when she gave the information. Wilma **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges? 2. Thanks for all the help.........I looked at other death certificates. NOW I see Elizabeth and Frank Wright could have been living with their children at time of death. Rumors say children took care of parents. But !!!! Just wanted to be sure. Thanks again......Penny Portland, OR **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges? 2. HI....just an idea, I was born in Snider's Hospital in Eldon, but it was really a nursing home. My parents lost their first child and were afraid to deliver at home, when I came along. Maybe same thing at Ulman. Jan In a message dated 9/22/2008 9:00:16 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Any hospitals in Ulman Mo in 1946? 3. I don't think there are any kind of healthcare facilities anywhere near Ulman. Probably the closest would be the county nursing home on highway 17 between Tuscumbia and Iberia. There was a hospital in Tuscumbia of course.
