This is just the School Clerk's Register--something we recently acquired at the museum. We're getting about 150 of them ready for microfilming. This is the first time I have looked closely at the information contained inside. A great resource! Not all of the records contain birth dates and would take some calculating, but they all have the names and ages of children in a given time period. I don't intend to post them all (far too much work), but did examine these since I brought them home to work on over the weekend. Edward Binford Hickman, a younger brother of James William was born Aug 9 1867 in Miller Co Mo and died Sep 14 1920. The informant on his death certificate was his (second?) wife Pearl ?Keaney. She did not know the name of her husband's mother. I have not found a Biddie Spoonmore. Could Sophia have been using a nickname for her grandmother? When did Sophia Hickman become Sophia Miller? Edward Binford Hickman, a younger brother of James William was born Aug 9 1867 in Miller Co Mo and died Sep 14 1920. The informant on his death certificate was his (second?) wife Pearl ?Keaney. She did not know the name of her husband's mother. I have not found a Biddie Spoonmore. Could Sophia have been using a nickname for her grandmother? When did Sophia Hickman become Sophia Miller? I think Biddy is just a pet name and not necessarily short for anything. I have a cousin named Marilyn whose father always called her Biddy. And now we see there are other Spoonmores around. Maybe there are two James W's from IN, related to each other but with different parent's. That would mean there was more than one James M.
