    3. " Mrs. Mary Louise Berhorst of St. Elizabeth, died Monday, May 1, 1972, at the home of a brother, Albert Hake, in Mary's Home. Her death occurred only eight days before her 81st birthday. Mrs. Berhorst was a lifelong resident of Mary's Home until the past eight years when she had been with a daughter in St. Elizabeth. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic church at Mary's Home. She was born May 9, 1891 at Mary's Home, a daughter of Herman and Sophie (Evers) Hake. On April 13, 1915, she was married at Mary's Home to John Steve Berhorst. He died Nov. 1, 1952. Mrs. Berhorst leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Dickneite of St. Elizabeth and Mrs. Lorraine Vogel of Jerome, Idaho; one son, Herbert Berhorst of Fulton; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four brothers, Albert Hake, Adolph Hake and Clem Hake, all of Mary's Home, and Lawrence Hake of Tipton; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Berendzen of Mary's Home and Mrs. Tillie Krummen of Jefferson City. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services were set for 10 am today (Thursday) at Our Lady of the Snows Church, Mary's Home with the Rev. Henry J. Reichert officiating; burial in the parish cemetery there. The rosary was recited Tuesday at Phillips Chapel in Eldon, and at 8 PM Wednesday at the home of a brother, Albert Hake, in Mary's Home.     3. Obituary, mid-Missouri Newspaper, Feb. 1986: Bernard "Bennie" H. Beutel, 69, formerly of Meta, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1986 at his home in St. Elizabeth. He was born Dec. 22, 1916, at Mary's Home, a son of Theodore and Annie Hake Beutel. On May 1, 1982, he was married to Hilda Wieberg, who died March 16, 1983. An Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Beutel was a retired oil well driller. He drilled wells in Texas and worked in Norway two years before retiring and moving back to Meta in 1979. He was a member of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Carolyn Bilger of Eastland, Texas; two sisters, Minnie Werdehausen and Mrs. Josephine Herx, both of Meta; a half-sister, Mathilda Bax of Meta; four grandchildren and one step-grandhild. Services were Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Meta. Burial was in the parish Cemetery."

Bond, 90, well known MIller county farmer and stockman who had spent his entire life on a farm west of Iberia, passed away last Saturday. He had been in failing health for several years. Funeral services were held at his home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and burial was made in the Livingston cemetery. Obituary: Lewis Allen Bond, son of Felix and Betsy Bond, was born October 5, 1858 near Iberia, Mo., and departed this life on Feb.26,1949 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 21 days. He is the last of his immediate family, and spent his entire life on or near a farm two miles west of Iberia on which his father settled when he came to this state from Tennessee over one hundred years ago. On Aug. 23, 1877 he was united in marriage to Martha E. Blize, who preceded him in death on March 23, 1936. To this union 11 children were born, 6 boys and 5 girls. Two of the girls, Jennie and Mollie, passed away many years ago.Those remaining to mourn their father's passing , are: Charles, Perry, George, John, Jesse, and Joe all of Iberia, Mo., Mrs. Della Waite of Iberia, Mo., Mrs. Sadie Law of Etterville, Mo., and Mrs. Nettie Hensley of Ulman, Mo. Besides the children he also leaves 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Bond was a good husband and father and a good provider for his family. During his career as a farmer and stockman he made many friends far and wide. He was always ready to lend his neighbors a helping hand when they were in need. Although he far outlived the average man he was very active until a few years ago when his health began to fail him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held Tuesday March 1st. at 10:00 a.m. at his home near Iberia, Mo. The Rev. J. Merle Bandy officiating minister, assisted by the Rev. Mark Sooter. Bond of Iberia, Della (wife of Arthur Waite) of Iberia, Jennie (former wife of J.A. Law who pre-deceased her mother December 18, 1938), Perry Bond of Iberia, George W. Bond of Iberia, Molly (who died at age of 8 months), Sadie (wife of C.I. Law) of Hancock, Nettie (wife of J.M. Hensley) of Tuscumbia, John, Jesse, and Joe all of Iberia. She leaves to mourn her passing an aged husband, 9 children, 22 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, L.D. Blize of Millet Alberta, Canada, and Billie Joe Blize of Success, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Ellis and Ida Ellis of Success, Mo., and numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bond have lived on the same farm, 2 miles west of Iberia on Highway 17, their entire married life, 58 years. Funeral services in charge of the Adams & Casey funeral service of Iberia, were held from the home Tuesday afternoon, after which interment was made in the Livingston Cemetery.

    2. WELL KNOWN MILLER COUNTY FARMER DIES; Mr. Lewis A. Bond, 90, well known MIller county farmer and stockman who had spent his entire life on a farm west of Iberia, passed away last Saturday. He had been in failing health for several years. Funeral services were held at his home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and burial was made in the Livingston cemetery. Obituary: Lewis Allen Bond, son of Felix and Betsy Bond, was born October 5, 1858 near Iberia, Mo., and departed this life on Feb.26,1949 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 21 days. He is the last of his immediate family, and spent his entire life on or near a farm two miles west of Iberia on which his father settled when he came to this state from Tennessee over one hundred years ago. On Aug. 23, 1877 he was united in marriage to Martha E. Blize, who preceded him in death on March 23, 1936. To this union 11 children were born, 6 boys and 5 girls. Two of the girls, Jennie and Mollie, passed away many years ago.Those remaining to mourn their father's passing , are: Charles, Perry, George, John, Jesse, and Joe all of Iberia, Mo., Mrs. Della Waite of Iberia, Mo., Mrs. Sadie Law of Etterville, Mo., and Mrs. Nettie Hensley of Ulman, Mo. Besides the children he also leaves 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Bond was a good husband and father and a good provider for his family. During his career as a farmer and stockman he made many friends far and wide. He was always ready to lend his neighbors a helping hand when they were in need. Although he far outlived the average man he was very active until a few years ago when his health began to fail him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held Tuesday March 1st. at 10:00 a.m. at his home near Iberia, Mo. The Rev. J. Merle Bandy officiating minister, assisted by the Rev. Mark Sooter.
