I, too, wish there was an easier way to send obits. to rootsweb for Osage, Maries and Miller counties. I have many hundreds more to send, but it takes time to retype, and I try very hard not to make any mistakes. Nancy is to be commended for all her work which she has been doing for longer than I have.... Mary Stigler ----- Original Message ----- From: "William L. Many of the obits I get are in scrapbooks with BIG pages which would complicate/prohibit scanning. Additionally, many of them are faded, torn or nearly illegible. I tried scanning them to text but it was taking longer to proof and clean them up than it takes if I just type it straight out. Bottom line is I should have started doing this when I was twelve years old instead of waiting until I was 70. Thanks for the offer but I have to check each with the index of obits already typed then I check them with my own data base and work them in where I can. Nancy, First of all, let me thank you for your tireless efforts in transcribing these obits for us, (and future generations). I'd be willing to help type them up, if you can do a batch scan of these articles and send them my way. I'm sure there are a few more folks who wouldn't mind donating a few hours each week for a good cause. Regards, ~ Mitch ~

COLVIN Dora was born near Tuscumbia, Mo., August 27 the year of 1897 and passed away October 14, 1948, at the age of 51 years, one month and 18 days. Her life was consecrated toe Lord at the age of fifteen. Dora said from the time she was converted there was more in the Bible than the ministers preached and in the year 1933 she found what it was. It was holiness. Dora was sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1933 after which she lived a Holy life. Dora, we hated to give you up, although our loss was your gain. Not our will but the Lord's will be done and His will is our will. No more loved one will we hear your sweet voice and no more will we hear your footsteps upon the floor. There is one thing we do know if we live our lives as you lived yours we will meet in glory to part no more.
