Did you ever get a reply to your query about Eureka School? I can't think of anything like that in Mercer County, but there was a place in Putnam County called Wyreka (believe that's how to spell it). Perhaps that is what you are looking for. Believe it was just across the county line and up near Powersville. Hope you got what you needed. Mary Hart -----Original Message----- From: Ila L. Since I can find no record of there ever having been a town by that name, I wonder if anyone can tell me where the school was located? My grandmother, Emma Elizabeth Beach, daughter of Orson C. Beach and Sarah Burnham, was (according to her second marriage certificate) born at Eureka, Mercer Co., MO. on Sept 15, 1866. Her mother died Jan. 16, 1867 in same place. Have not found a death record for Sarah Burnham Beach, nor proof of birth for Emma Elizabeth Beach Brown Hickman. Can anyone help me? Thank you. >Ila Brown LaRue > > >==== MOMERCER Mailing List ==== >List mail archives can be accessed at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ >or at: >http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl >
