Moore Family Reunion The J. B. Moore family reunion was held Sunday, June 27 at the home of a granddaughter Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Hart (formerly Mary Brown) near Shenandoah, Iowa with 92 relatives present including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great,grandchildren.. The Moore family of eleven children were all present except one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Brown of Wood, So. Dakota, being unable to attend due to weather condition. However a long distance call from her was received and enjoyed by all at the noon hour. Those attending were; Mr. and Mrs. Green Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Moore all of Bethany, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Shelby (Glendoris) and son Gerald of Shenandoah, Mr. and Mrs. Max Moore and family of Humeston, Mr. and Mrs. Sewell Moore and family of Ottumwa, Ia, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. (Vade) Browoning of Shenandoah, Mrs. Carrie Elson and family of Council Bluffs, Ia. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Babbitt (Louis and son Don Cox of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Jessie) and family of Clarinda, Ia, Mrs Opal Keltner of Shenandoah, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Brown (Della) of Coin, IA. Mr. and Mrs. Vernnie (Mary) Hart of Shenandoah, Mr. and Mrs. Hazard Brown, and family of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Gunner Kundson (Marjorie) and sons of Philadelphia, Penn. Mrs. Ollie Barber, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Laing (Cecil) and sons, Mr. Fred Barber and family all of Chariton, Iowa, Mrs. Lottie Hart and daughter of Rich Hill Mo. Mr and Mrs Henry Gloshen (Kathryn) and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Calman (Geneivie) all of Independence, MO. Mrs. Alice Cox and grandson Jamie Weidner of Denver, Co. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Cox and family of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. McClellan (Florence) all of Dallas, Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moore, of Bethany, Mo. and granddaughter, Carline Gable of Coryton, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moore and son Chad of Albin, Wyo. Mr Fred Moore and son Larry of Mercer, Mo. A basket dinner was spread on long tables on the spacious lawn at noon. It was decided to make the reunion an annual affair to be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moore of Bethany, Mo.
