This comes as a set of about 55 CD’s with an index of the whole US. History of Harrison and Mercer Counties 1888. Purchased from the Mercer Co., Missouri Gen. Soc. As a re-print last year. 6. The one and only cemetery book. I had the Mercer Co., Missouri library make a copy of theirs. 7. Linn’s 1976 History of Mercer County, Missouri. This book is out of print. I bought mine this year from a lady from Sumner, Missouri. It is out of print. 8. The Mercer, Mercer County Missouri 1972 and 1976 history books. These are out of print and were in the family. 9. Pioneers of North Central Missouri by Marlin A. Field. I don’t know if it is out of print or not. 10. The 3 Vol. Set of the very nice 1997 "Mercer County Pioneer Traces" printed by the Mercer Co., Missouri Gen. Soc. 11. Marriage books G and H purchased from the Mercer Co., Missouri Gen. Soc. 12. A copy of Mildred Cructhers scrap book. This was copied and sent to me by Leland Adams formally of Spickard, Missouri and now of Kansas. Mildred is his aunt. Mildred and her mother collected about 800 obits of the people of Mercer County and the Spickard area of Grundy County. These go back to the 1920’s. Also other articles about big news, weddings etc. She is 80 and still living and probably still clips to this day. They are in a large note book by dates. Grundy County. 1. Both volumes are fully indexed by surname with over 2500 family histories with pictures included. They also include general county history, business advertisements, dedications and memorials.Volumes I & II -- $100.00 ppd Volume III - 276 pages, fully indexed by surname. The book is sectioned into the nine different townships within the county. It contains over 20 maps which include the original survey maps circa 1835, plus a new township map for each section that depicts the locations of all the towns, schools, churches and cemeteries. Within each township section is a history of the township, the towns, the schools, the chuches and the cemeteries with the veterans listed in each cemetery by the war of participation. It also includes the history and settlements and the family histories of the Afro-American coummunities in Marion and Sommerset townships. There are hundreds of photographs included within this book, as well as histories of some organizations. There are excerpts from old newspaper articles and excerpts from old diaries, some dated back to the 1850´s loaned to us for printing in these books.
