Hello... Which Campbells are you researching? Williams and Vinzant. Williams is an elusive name for my family meaning that we know they fit in somewhere, we just don't know for sure how. My GGGGrandparents were Samuel BROWN and Catherine Hiley PETREE. They had 10 or 11 children. One of their sons, Issac BROWN married Mary Melinda WILLIAMS. I think one of their children was Ira Franklin BROWN. Samuel and Catherine also had two WILLIAMS children living in their household in a census, 1870 I believe without looking it up. Their names were James and M J WILLIAMS. James was 16 and M J (boy or girl?) was 12. Another son Jasper Bell BROWN married Sarah RECTOR, and one of their sons, Charles BROWN married Altha VINZANT. I am descended from Jasper and Issac's brother, Samuel F BROWN and Mary BRAY. Other surnames associated with our BROWN clan are: CAMPBELL, VANDERPOOL, PETREE, MCGEE...and others. I would love to hear from you if you find any of this familiar!
