    3. Mark Hanna Ormsby and Florence Eva Gloshen were the parents of Marcheta, Florence Ann and Mark. Mark Hanna Ormsby was the son of Christopher Wesley Ormsby and Rota Lima. "Chris" was a former mayor of Princeton and was a barber. The children of Chris and Rota were John W., Hazel, Christopher and Mark Hanna. Hazel was a wonderful pianist and played the music at the local theater in the days of silent movies. The parents of Christopher Wesley Ormsby were James B. Ormsby and Ann Hornocker. James B. was a Civil War veteran and he and Lucy Ann, as well as most, if not all of their children, are buried in the Princeton Cemetery. Christopher Wesley "Chris" Ormsby had a wonderful memory. He was born in Wayne County, Iowa, in 1866 and came with his parents in 1871 to Mercer County, MO. He remembered many of the pioneers of the county and could fascinate the listener with the stories about them. I knew Chris and his daughter, Hazel. I also knew the three children of Mark Hanna. His son, Mark, still lives here in Princeton and I have high regard for Mark. He started Marco's, a meat company here. It is a very attractive building and when I want meat for a special occasion, that's where I buy it. Jennie Vertrees backwood@grm.net
