I am seeking a look up for birth records for my great great aunt Emmaline (Emma) J. Lyons born March 24th, 1872 according her certificate of death. Though, in the 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 census her birth year was 1873 and said she was born in Kansas or Missouri. Her parents were Alfred C. Lyons and Harriett (Hattie) Lyons. Alfred came from Ohio. Any information would be greatly appreciated! -Michael Lyons LyonsPride01@aol.com

Monte Moore was married to my wife's great aunt. Today my wife called her dad and he said Zona Hubbs had Flute Moore when she married Douglas Moore. He did not know who the father is. Monte's daughter lives in FL and she probably knows the story. We have her address if interested and I think e-mail address. He also thinks the Celia on the grave stone is a daughter of Blanche Wells but not a daughter of Flute and Blanche's. JJ
All, Agree that their is some confusion here. Not sure where the disconnect is but I have his obit below: "Flute Cecil Moore, son of Douglas and Zona (Hubbs) Moore, was born near South Lineville, in Mercer County, on Nov. 20, 1899, and passed away on March 14, 1992, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA, at the age of 92 years. Flute was married to Blanche Elizabeth Wells on March 31, 1923, in Leon, IA. Blanche survives him of the home in Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by his two sons; Cecil Moore of Solon, IA, and Norman Moore of Nashville, TN; and by his four grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, and Brent Moore and Michele Johnson. He was preceded in death by his paents; one son, Carol Moore ; three brothers, Mont, Emmett, and Ivan Moore; and by his sister Ethel Hamilton. Flute was raised in the Lineville, IA, area. He and Blanche lived most of their married lives in Cedar Rapids, IA, where Flute worked as an auto mechanic, and in the shipping department at Midland Forge until his retirement. He attended the Linevile Assembly of God Church and the Central Assembly of God Church in Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at 2 p.m. at the Greenlee Funeral Chapel in Lineville, IA, with the Rev. Raymond Booth officiating. Milo G. Moore was one of 12 children of Levi Edwin Moore (1860-1948) and Lecenith Fannie Robinson (1866-1964). Don't have a date of birth on him. Levi was a son of James Glascow Moore (1828-1879) and Martha Wood (1828-aft. 1850). Does anyone have census information for Anthony Bloom? He's not listed in the 1850 census. He could also be John Bloom. He is probably listed in Lindley twp. age 48 with one son Anthony or John age 7. Thanks for your help. James

The marriage book published by the Mercer Co., Missouri Gen. Soc. does give the marriage date as 11-Aug-1903. The supplement to the Wayne Co., Iowa cemetery book page 43 Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, Iowa as follows MOORE, Blanche E. 1904 Mother Flute C. 1899 Father Parents of C. Keith, Celia E., Norman R. This is supposed to be taken right from the stone. I have no way of knowing but one possibility could be that Flute was born while Douglas was still married to Mary Rachel Hubbs, sister to Zona Hubbs. Mary Rachel died 7-July-1903 and he married Zona (her sister) 11-August-1903 (4) weeks later. JJ
James, thanks so much for the information. But do you notice something strange here? Douglas Moore married Mary Rachel HUBBS Marriage Date: 16 Oct 1893 first child is Emmett Douglas MOORE Birth Date: 22 Jan 1899 Then Douglas Moore marrys Zona Q. Hubbs The Mercer Co.,Missouri Marriage Book has a Douglas Moore who married Zona Hubbs 11-Aug-1903 page G-439. first child is Flute Cecil MOORE Birth Date: 20 Nov 1899 One of these dates has to be wrong or Zona was previously married. Maybe she went by her Middle name or something Q???? Hubbs married before Nov. 1899 is this possible?? Thanks James
