I've not found any strong possibilities in Pioneer Traces. I should have asked where did the Cox families immigrate from and therefore could eliminate some families. Thanks! -Judy

    3. Finis Irvin Tipton was born 19 August 1903 near Harris in Sullivan Co., MO, and died 11 November 1983 in Liberty, Clay County, MO. He was the son of Charley Tipton and Sarah Melvina Anderson who were married April 3, 1918 in Grundy Co., MO (she married second Solomon Cooper). On 14 October 1925 in Princeton, Mercer County, MO, he married Opal Irene McLaughlin born 1911, daughter of James Franklin and Lenora Jane (Dean) McLaughlin. Finis is buried in the Half Rock Cemetery, Medicine Township, Mercer County, MO. Finis was the great-grandson of John Hiram and Nancy Cordelia (Munday) Topton; and his siblings were Cordelia who married Guy McLaughlin, and Alice who married Lovell Jacques. I would like additional information on this family also. I have quite a lot of Niccum information - some Cunningham, NO McLaughlin or Tipton except what I've posted. I have Finis and Opal's children as Francis Dale who married Peggy Leota Cunningham and Sarah Jane who married Carroll Dean Schoenhals.
