I am trying to find a marriage record on my g-grandmother, Rebecca Anne Cotterman. I was informed by another researcher that my g-grandmother, Rebecca, married Thomas Hart Barlow on September 29, 1882 in Seneca, Newton County, Missouri. I have searched most records at the Newton County Library with little success for a marriage record. I recently found out that my g-grandmother and her family (Jacob Cotterman and wife, Rhoda Ann Kelley Cotterman) moved from Ohio and settled in McDonald County. They were living in McDonald County during the 1880 census. I believe, now, that Rebecca married in McDonald County. She and my g-grandfather would have married sometime between 1882 and 1883. Their first child, Roy Dewitt Barlow, was (supposedly) born on July 29, 1884. Is there someplace that I can write to to see if a marriage record might exist? Thanks for any help.
