So many names were used by both families. I think that Luke was a lawyer and married to a sister of Patrick Henry. I can look that up for you if you want me to. 3. Although I am not in the Bullard line, I have collected a lot of information about the Bullard family. Newer info about the branch that migrated to California before the Civil War is now at the McDonald Co. Library. I have transcripts of their letters I would be happy to share if you are interested. I have not been able to find out much about Lewis Duval, who married Emmarinzina Bullard to date. If you have anything on him I would appreciate your sharing it. I have corresponded with a Maness descendent at one time. He told me that some of that family went to Johnson Co. MO during the Civil War as did my great grandfather, Nimrod Porter Bunch and family. My grandfather was born there in 1865. The family later moved to McDonald Co. I am curious as to why they went there. I know that Johnson Co. was part of "Little Dixie" and was the base for Quantrill, but little else. Nimrod's brother, James Henry Bunch was a CSA guerilla in SW MO and fled to Texas after the war, but eventually moved to McDonald Co. also. Thanks for any clues. 3. Mc Donald Co was some of the last entry land in Missouri and located convenient to the new homesteading lands of Kansas and Okla. And even Texas. For those who love history this is a fascinating area both in fact and fable. And a very interesting site to visit. Bud.
