She was 35 years old and is listed with children Mary Jane, Newton, Martha, Margaret and Georgie. All the children except Georgie are born in Tennessee. I also found Melvina and husband George Painter in the 1850 census for Hawkins County, Tennessee. Does this match your Painter family? Would love any information you might have.
