Andrew Lafayette Regert, born Feb 13 1867 in Carroll Co., MO, married to Minnie Chastain on Feb 3 1891 in Christian Co., MO and died Mar 20 1931 in McDonald Co., MO; Minnie died Nov 11, 1940 in Jasper Co., MO - both are buried in the Pineville Cemetery, Pineville, McDonald Co., MO. They had five children; the last one passing on in Jan of this year. Andrew's father was Valentine Regert born in Germany, died Dec 30 1893 someplace in southern Missouri as he is buried in the Chastain/Jones Cemetery in Nixa, MO - as his wife Lockey Angeline Powers who died Dec 16 1924 in Greene Co., MO. Anyone researching this famly? Would like to know more about the German background. Pretty sure Valentine's father was named Andrew, but nothing on Valentine's mother. I cannot even find very much information on the Regerts here in Missouri. Valentine was a shoemaker in Carroll County, MO; did find him in the 1880 Carroll Co, MO census. But nothing before or after. Andrew Lafayette, in 1900, was a wood chopper according to family lore. He was also in the grocery business from 1922 until he died in 1931. Anybody know anything else on these Regerts?
