Hi Jody: My GGrandfather was James Kimsey Hall.? He was illigetimate.? The 1850 Barry County census shows him living with John Payton Hall, Sr.? On his death certificate they listed Betsy Hall as his mother and father unknown.? I believe he was the child of Elizabeth Hall, but have no proof.? I thought she had died 2 yrs after he was born in 1851, but someone on the Rootsweb claims to be a descendent of hers.? Do you have any family history on Kimsey?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. She is buried in McDonald County in?a cemetery that is now on some farmland. I have the name of what it was called in my notes. I think it is on Jacket Road not too far from Roller Cemetery. I will get my files out today and give you more specifics. I know that the graves in that cemetery have been run over by weeds and the stones toppled. I've heard this from other Hall's that are no longer with us and from some distant cousins who were at the cemetery years ago. ?
