Mother is Sarah Anna Weldon (1862)and a sister Martha E (1897)I cannot seem to locate their father. I've been told that his name is John Ashcraft but seen the family listed as Ashcroft as well. The year that I was told he passed was 1898, but cannot find them on any census or his death record. Anna appears on the 1900 census in Arkansas living with her father (Nathaniel Green Weldon) with the two kids and listed as a widow. I believe he died in Arkansas, and was possibly born there as well. My 2nd great grandmother (Sarah Ann Weldon) is seen to go by Anna Ashcraft, however I cannot find the family on the census again until George L Ashcraft appears later alone- I cannot ever again locate Martha E or Anna. On the 1910 census, George (Lincoln) Ashcraft is seen living with the family of Enoch and Martha Higgins in Le Flore Oklahoma. He appears again in the 1930 census in Missouri, married to Mary Ella Chandler and the name is spelled Ashcroft. It is my belief due to the birth date of the oldest son Edgar, and of Ella and the timeline - that his mother is not Ella Chandler (Ashcraft) but Beulah Higgins (or sister Myrtle) is the mother of this child. I would like to hear any connections that there might be - there are alot of John Ashcrafts and the Oklahoma records are sub-par... Also would like to know what happened to Anna and if there were any kids from Martha. The family story is that they lived on a reservation in Indian Territory - Mary Ella Chandler is Cherokee and confirmed on the roll. I have more info if you want it. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
