We're also searching - my mother has most of the info but I help but trying different searches for her and came across your post. I also found an Edmund Ragan in the 1850 Newton Co. census, age 37, with Elizabeth age 65, Catherine(19), Charles(22),John(1 1/2), Luiza(7 1/2), Malvina(17), Peter(25).
