His name on the marriage license is hard to read and I am not sure that Jennison is correct. I find no record of him before or after the marriage. I wonder if it is Tennison? There was a Walter Tennison (I think he was an early Sheriff). A J & a T could be easily confused in Copperplate or Spencerian handwriting. Marilyn: In looking at the marriage record I believe you are accurate that it was Tennison. Both Walter & Nancy were from Indian Springs (northern part of McDonald County) and that's where the Tennisons were during that time period, some of them settling later in Goodman (not far away.) As for the Tennison that was Sheriff, it was John J. Tennison, from 1956 to 1960.
