I was unaware of the large family in and around Durant, but got in contact with a number of them a few years ago. All I knew to start with is that my grandfather's brother, George settled somewhere on the Blue River near Durant. Recently I discovered another brothers family and have been in touch with them. They gave me a lot of info and pictures. There are more and more of the family getting on line and making contact.
