I have copies of the land records. On March 8 1866, William M. Bell homesteaded 160 acres of land on Patterson Creek in McDonald County. He homesteaded the North half and South half of the NW quarter of Section 9 in Township 22 of Range 33 West. No. 2918, Reciever's Office, Booneville, MO, March 8, 1866.
