I didn't find their names on the obituary list at the McDonald Co. Library. It is possible they were buried elsewhere. You might check the genealogy section of the website at www.mcdonaldcountylibrary.org. There are several Sears mentioned, but not the ones you seek. You might recognize a relative, though. Her second husband was JAMES THOMAS JR. (b KY 1801-1804, li. McMinn Co. TN, to Laclede Co. MO 1852, died Red River Co. TX 1878). James was the widower of Elizabeth Ann Fitzgerald, a cousin of Christopher Bullard. James' daughter Eleanor (Thomas) Brittain Knowlton (my direct ancestor) states in a memoir written c 1905 and held by the California Historical Society in San Francisco, that once they moved from TN to MO her father took her around to visit her mother's relatives. James, she said, made love with "Uncle Kit Bullard's widow, and they were married." This was likely 1853. They were not living together in 1860, but moved to the same general area of TX about the same time. Therefore, CHRISTOPHER BULLARD died possibly 1850-1851 but certainly before early 1853. We know of no other document reporting or recording this marriage -- except that Jane used the surname THOMAS after the 1850 census. I don't know if we have a connection or not. My great grandmother was Eliza Jane Wheeler Pittman Carnell, born in Bath Co. KY. She had two sons with Francis Marion Pittman (who was killed early in the Civil War) and they lived in Cass Co. MO. Later she married my great grandfather John Leonard Carnell and had several more children including my grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Carnell. One of the Pittman boy's name was Charles. I don't know off hand the other one's name. They were living in Arkansas at the time of her death in the early 1900's. Right now, I don't have access to any files as I am a refugee from a flood on April 25. Meanwhile, I suggest that you contact www.mcdonaldcountylibrary.org. I didn't find her name in the obituary list, but she her funeral must have been in Oklahoma with only internment at Goodman with no obituary published in local papers. My sister was librarian at the time and I know she would have been alert to both the Bradley and Pittman names. Bradley is a very old family name in the county and there are many obits about them on file. There also might be more extensive Bradley family history notes there. I don't know if you have the article that is published in the McDonald County Sesquicentennial Family Histories, if you don't. I have the book and can scan the article and send it to you. The article is about Isaac Davenport who wan born in 1809 in North Carolina. He was the son of Thomas & Hannah Davenport, and grandson of Martin Davenport. If you wish the article let me know your email address and I will send it to you.
