They had three boys, William Washington (1874?), Charles Walter (1876), and Francis M. (1879). Haven't been able to locate any of them on the 1880 census. Venetia was widowed early, remarried in 1884 in Polk Co., Missouri, and they all moved to Colorado. Don't know ANYTHING else about James. Am looking for descendants of possible siblings of James. Also, George Cornell was born, Clermont, Ohio...his parents showed as being born in NJ, with their lst-born, Daniel; then showed up as early settlers in SW Ohio. When the elder Daniel Cornell died, his wife, Phoebe married neighboring widower, in Brown Co.,(pt of Clermont)also with children, Jonathan Church. George was abt 10 at that time and they'd gone by Cornwell, until that time. In adulthood, tho, all these boys of Phoebe Cornwell-Church's used the spelling of Cornell. There was also a lawsuit about the estate, brought by an Elizabeth Cornell-Blackwell, perhaps George's sister(?)in Clermont, Ohio. Much more, but confusing, even after a person knows other facts about this family; furthered by the Civil War conflict. There's also (in my line) the Corn/w/ell-Cornell w/Botts-Pittser (Bishop/Lamb etal)..all more confused by multi-marraiges, where all are related, but not of the same direct lineage. Any o! ther ingredients to add to the stew will be appreciated. Thanks...the "new" email addy for me is: [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
