We only had a few hours and part of that was spent just finding cemeteries. We met an elderly man who knew much of Maries Co. history and he gave us directions to Carnes Campground which if I remember correctly was by the Little Tavern River, but that branch was called Carnes Creek, after Jehu. The man said Jehu was buried there. There were many broken stones that were not readable and many graves had sunk. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
