Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1943: " Ensley Jones Byran, son of the late John and Mary E. Byran was born July 20, 1870 on Pointers Creek, near Linn, and departed this life on September 29th, 1943 at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 9 days. On August 26, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Eva Clark and to this union was born 5 children. Flossie, the oldest, passed away at the age of 3 years. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Louis of E. St. Louis, Ill; Mrs. C. F. Shaw (Loreen) and Mrs. A. A. Reed (Lillian) of Bonnots Mill and Lee Bryan (sp?) of St. Louis. Thee are 9 grandchildren. Funeral services for this good man were conducted from his home near Vichy, Mo. Friday afternoon to the Skaggs Chapel with Rev. O'Dell of Rolla, Mo. officiating."
