Barnabas Madison Poe was the son of Adam Poe and Elizabeth Cochran (not her maiden name), born in Washington County, Pennsylvania in 1787. Adam was the son of a George Poe who had large farm and produce business in Baltimore, Maryland. The entire family tree as I have it currently is on Rootsweb.com and on my web-site www.schwegler.us.
