Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976; "Mrs. Mary Josephine Hutchison, 80, Versailles, died Saturday (August 25, 1973) at her home. She was born Dec. 27, 1892 in Fortuna, the daughter of John and Alta Newkirk Hamilton. On August 25, 1910, she was married to Edgar E. Hutchison, who survives. Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles. Other survivors include: six sons, Richard Hutchison, Leo Hutchison, Elvin Hutchison and Jim Hutchison, all of Versailles; W. D. Hutchison, St. John; Dave Hutchison, Blackwater; four daughters, Mrs. Velma Jones, Independence; Mrs. Alta Gene Chipley, Boonville; Mrs. Betty Jo Huffman and Mrs. Donna Chastee, both of Versailles; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday at the First Baptist Church, Versailles, with the Rec. Archie Warren Officiating. Burial will be in the Newkirk Cemetery near Fortuna."
