    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: RoseKidcats Surnames: Helms Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.maries/2305/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My 92 years young step-dad is looking for the burial site of his great grandparents: Samuel HELMS was born about 1799 in Kentucky and moved to Washington County, MO where he married Lucinda Richey in 1844. On the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census they are listed as living in Union Township, Pulaski Co, MO, Waynesville Post Office. Family lore states: Samuel died in late 1880 and Lucinda followed in 1884, but I have no actual proof of those dates. Also, they are supposed to be buried in Seaton Cemetery, Maries Co, MO, but I've not found anyone who can verify that fact. Many of Sam and Lucinda's children and grandchildren are buried at Seaton, Antioch and other local Dixon area/Pulaski County cemeteries. Samuel's son, John, (by his first wife), bought land in Franklin County in 1865 and Dad, Walter Helms, still lives on the family farm. Dad wishes to visit and place a headstone on his great grandparents' graves, but I've searched everywhere I know to search without any luck. Please - if anyone has any information that could/might help us locate their graves - it would be Most Appreciated. If it helps, the HELMS Family information can be found here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rosekidcats&id=I8506 Many Thanks, Rose Hyde [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
