I have an answer to who Gus Rowden is, from Rowden researcher Norman Findlay: "Hi Mark, Good to hear from you. Gus could be August Rowden the son of Thomas Rowden and Elizabeth Anderson. In 1900 they were residing in Monett, Barry County, Missouri. He seems to have married a Pearl Brite and had a son James P. Rowden. He looks like he died between 1910-1920. In 1920 his wife was a widow living with her son in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. Have a happy holiday. Norm" --- On Wed, 12/23/09, M.K. Elmore <[email protected]> wrote: From: M.K. In my notes, I am showing an 'A.J. Rowden' settled in Laclede Co MO in 1848. I don't know if this is an August J Rowden? This is not my family line, mine is George W Henson/Hinson of 1860 Webster, 1870 Maries Co MO. Thanks to all for sharing. Hey, thank you, Mark, and thanks to Mr. Findlay. This was fun. Merry Christmas to all. I don't have August Rowden's parents (Thomas Rowden and Elizabeth Anderson) in my info either, but I'm sure there are others here who may have them.
