Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1976; " Floyd R. Kinead, 67, Meta, died Tuesday, May 18, 1976 at his home. He was born April 17, 1909 in Maries County, the son of Fred and Ida Crider Kinkead. He was married Aug. 13, 1927, to Tilly Vaughn, who survives at the home. Other survivors include: two sons, Millard Kinkead, Belle; Floyd Kinkead, Jr., Dixon, and one daughter, Mrs. Norma Willoughby, Meta; one sister, Mrs. Oma Shockley, Union; one brother, Robert Kinkead of Aurora; 21 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Kinkead was a member of the First Baptist Church at Bland and served in the U. S. Army in 1944. He has been a resident of Meta for the last 21 hears and had lived at Owensville and Bland previously. Services were held Thursday at the Campground Christian Church near Meta with her Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery near Bland.
