I have an old book from 1904 which lists Maries, Tavern, and Weldon on a map. It appears they may have been located on the area streams - not sure. Also have heard of a place called Bucksnort but have had no luck finding anything documented by that name. Am trying to find out about any historical places such as churches and schools in the area also. A friend of mine owns a large amount of land in that area and he would like to find out if any old landmarks or locations are on his place. Thanks!
