Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975: " Dolph F. Hassler, 78, of Belle, died Thursday, May 22, 1975, at his home after a long illness. Mr. Hassler was born May 19, 1897, in Osage county, the son of John and Eva Bumpass Hassler. On Feb. 11, 1920, he was married to the former Mary Ridenhour, who survives at the home. He was a former school teacher, farmer and merchant. He was a member of the Pilot Knob Baptist Church near Belle and had served as a deacon in that church since 1938. Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Bacon, Belle; Miss Jana Hassler, Holts Summit; one sister, Mrs. Katie Rethmeyer, Belle; one grandson and one great-grandson. Services were Sunday at the pilot Knob Baptist Church near Belle with the Rev. Ernest Snodgrass officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery."
